A friendlier, faster ModelRift UI
We rebuilt the interface around the AI chat so you can edit code and view your model together, plus a few quality-of-life upgrades.
We’ve been listening to how you actually build in ModelRift, and the biggest theme was clear: keep the conversation and the code together.
The editor now lives in the chat
You’ll see the code editor embedded right in the AI chat pane. That means you can read the assistant’s suggestions, tweak the OpenSCAD immediately, and keep your model preview in view at the same time. No more jumping between panes or losing context.
One screen, two superpowers
With the editor in chat and the 3D viewer alongside it, you can iterate faster: ask for a change, adjust the code, and watch the model update without leaving the flow.
Small upgrades that add up
A few quality-of-life improvements landed with the UI refresh:
- Diff viewer for code changes so you can spot what the assistant updated at a glance.
- Better Log Viewer STL loader metrics to help you understand performance and load time.
- Refined LLM interaction for faster responses without sacrificing response quality.
